"The structure of the lessons posed new and unexpected perspectives towards ‘disliked’ topics allowed my daughter to take a new approach and further take the initiative to understand and improve her skills. Despite this COVID-19 outbreak, Sky education was able to quickly respond to these external influences by approaching tutoring classes online, yet also taking the initiative to develop free Q&A Sessions available to the students throughout the week. "I have an underlying appreciation for the passion and dedication SKY tutors have continually expressed toward their students. The entirety of the SKY faculty have demonstrated an overwhelming familial rapport with all students that have entered the college. They expect and condition us to be HSC students that strive to achieve the best that we can be. Introductory one-on-one meetings follow a student's first lesson with the head teacher of their respective subjects. Instead of instilling false hope into the new students, they provide a realistic profile that also factors in the student's goals and aspirations. This is to create a collective goal that emotionally benefits both teacher and student. Students are not paraded and overly congratulated for solely achieving good results. Instead, students are commended for the hard work and work ethic required to achieve good results. They are also not shamed, harassed or punished for academic blunders - except these situations are used as a tool for motivation or reference on what the student can improve upon. SKY approaches the challenges of HSC with a mild dosage of tough love and can be slightly overwhelming for students. It does take time for students to adapt and requires an initial resilience that some students seem to acquire during their final year of schooling. For those who have stuck to the program or have even driven slightly off that path, they have experienced a display of compassion and nurture not offered by much larger tutoring organisations. This has resulted in several successful reunions, where alumni of the college gather annually to receive and display their gratitude for the efforts from both parties. They reminisce on the great stresses and triumphs that accompanies the gruelling HSC marathon, which invested SKY students are well adapted and trained for. I currently study Physics and Mathematics at the college, and value both subjects equally. Both are taught by relatable, understanding, and knowledgeable teachers who have proven to have an immense impact on my attitude and my capabilities. I would recommend SKY to my friends who are dedicated to achieving results in the HSC that reflect their maximal efforts and capabilities. Due to the great influx of students during recent years, my only fear for future students revolve around the college becoming as large as other tutoring organisations. "Before joining SKY HSC COLLEGE, I would hear my brother constantly raving of how amazing the environment of SKY was, about how he enjoyed going to study there near-daily. I remained skeptical for almost 2 years until I began attending SKY for chemistry. Initially, I never planned on attending this “amazing tutor” that my brother would continuously recommend to me. After all, how great could a tuition centre really be?However, after sitting my first year 11 chemistry exam and receiving an unexpectedly low mark, I decided that I would, at least, give SKY a go. Upon joining, I realised how judgemental I had been when I hadn’t even given SKY a chance. I began to genuinely enjoy studying and found myself looking forward to the weekly lessons and quickly joined for maths as well. Unlike other tutoring centres, SKY not only teaches me how to do well in exams, but also how to make effective use of my time and to not overload myself. SKY has provided me with life mentors, tutors and also older figures to look up to. The tutors never push the usual, “99.95 ATAR” expectation onto us students, but rather, push us towards our own dreams and aspirations. I have made and will continue to make valuable friendships with the students who also attended, who encourage me to study and also to relax when I’m over-stressing. Personally, I enjoy mathematics the most out of all my subjects - I always have - but I soon came to find that I also enjoy chemistry and making notes for chemistry. I previously never studied consistently and would only study for exams. However, after joining SKY, I was motivated to study everyday, to continue furthering my skills and go ahead of my school. Thanks to the flexible hours of classes and being able to come in to study to the individual study area nearly 24/7, I am able to also continue with my life outside of my own studies and have not had to sacrifice my personal life for the sake of my studies. My brother had been right. SKY really is a tutoring centre that even more well-known, larger tuition centres cannot be compared to. The difference between the attitudes of tutors and overall environment is enormous. I never expected to, but I am dreading the day that I finish HSC as I won’t be able to come everyday to study and see all the familiar, reassuring faces of my friends, tutors and even the kind and helpful receptionists."

"Every single person at the tutoring center is kind and helpful. The teachers are always happy to answer any questions students may have, sometimes even when you message them at midnight. Furthermore, they are willing to go the extra mile to encourage students to do their best, offering helpful feedback and emotional support. "SKY has been extremely helpful to my HSC studies, especially during times of COVID - 19. SKY provided a safe studying space when the libraries were closed, allowing me to fully focus on my studies. Without Marc and YS as tutors for science (Physics and Chemistry) and Maths (Ext 1 and Advanced) respectively, I would not have been able to improve as much as I did throughout the year. For both Chemistry and Physics, Marc provides detailed theory booklets according to each inquiry question, allowing students to develop an in - depth understanding of the syllabus as well as the Yr 12 content. His thorough explanation of the content and the weekly quizzes allowed me to quickly find my strengths and weaknesses, as well as his out of class help. For Maths, YS also provides theory booklets with notes and homework questions which are compiled with past HSC questions as well as questions from various school assessments. He is truly a role model as a teacher and someone who genuinely cares about his students’ growth and development.
